…Blacksnow got into a sort of a row with some guy who feels that his privacy was imbreached because of the trackback function (and the almighty Google); Jacky had written something about it and the response wasn’t so great, the whole thing basically gone pear shaped.

I’m not interested in it actually, I’m a person who believes that you should be rational and know always what you’re doing, these things should be well accounted for. As Sinan had repetitive told me many times, I have many other things to do, don’t waste time on these things. Therefore lately you can see that I’m only writing about my own stuff with wacky comment at times, but not much about others. Sorry about that, I’m simply to busy to care.

I said last year when the whole “what is blog?” row started (the thing that surprises me is that it’s STILL going on…give it a break),that blogging has the ultimate anonymity because no one knows who you really are, it may now seem that I’m wrong, or maybe because I have underestimated people’s insecurity and self consciousness? Either way, people still feel exposed by showing things to total strangers, in that case, the best solution is probably like the outcome of this incident - blog closing down. No further comment necessary.

Although I may not agree with neither side of the argument, Jacky is right in saying that “If you don’t want things to become open, please think of ways to protect your privacy.” If you don’t do it yourself, no one is going to do it for you. That’s life baby.
